Gia-Han Ngo

Machine Learning Engineer · NLP / LLM

Welcome! My name in Vietnamese is Ngô Gia Hân (吳嘉欣), and I also go by Celia. My given name 嘉欣 carries the meaning of goodness and joy—a sentiment I hope to bring into both my work and the people I work with.

Previously, I received my M.S. in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Cheng Kung University, where I was fortunate to be advised by Prof. Jung-Hsien Chiang at the Intelligent Information Retrieval Laboratory. My research focused on natural language processing, large language models, and agent. I received my B.CIS. from Auckland University of Technology through its joint international program with Ho Chi Minh University of Science.

Some of the most rewarding work begins with a simple hello. If something here sparks your curiosity, feel free to reach out at celia@iir.csie.ncku.edu.tw!

Outside work

Buddhist practice and caring for plants help me stay grounded.

Reciting Buddhist sutras and reflecting on Dharma teachings remind me to return to calm, compassion, and a clearer perspective.

Caring for plants teaches me something similar in a quieter way: meaningful growth takes patience, consistency, and care.

Both are small parts of my daily life, but they shape how I approach challenges, learning, and the people around me. 🌿
